Information we collect

This site does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal information. There are no accounts or sign-up forms.

Practice tools

The practice tools and games run entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or stored on a server.

Saved in your browser

A few small things are saved in your own browser's local storage so they're there next time: your display choices (Modern or Classic style, light or dark colours) your best score in the practice game, and the levels you tick in the beginner tutorial. When you open a tutorial example on the abacus, that example is held for a moment in session storage and removed once it loads. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Sharing

Share buttons open a small box where you can add your name and a friend's name to the message. Both are optional. The message is put together in your browser and handed to WhatsApp, your device's share menu or your clipboard; the names are not sent to us or saved. We don't see what you share or who you share it with.

Cookies and analytics

We do not currently set tracking cookies or use analytics. If this changes, we will update this page before doing so.

Hosting

Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security. These are not used to identify visitors.

Children

The site is written for parents and students. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
